Not at all, my classes are full of all ages, sizes and abilities. My wish is that you can come and
benefit from this practice the way I have. For many years I have been teaching Yoga
Therapy/Gentle Yoga on friday and saturday mornings. They are a lovely mix of ages, abilities
and some of these students have auto-immune conditions such as Crohns disease, arthritis,
osteoporosis, migraine, asthma, some were even in different stages of cancer treatment, the list
goes on. A full yoga practice can work on keeping our body and mind healthy, help keep stress
and anxiety at bay and help us to loosen out physically which always affects our mental state. It
also helps us befriend our bodies, and connect with them, when was the last time you did a full
check in of how your body feels? Seriously, anyone can practice yoga!

YES MOST DEFINITELY! To me yoga and meditation are the ultimate practices in self-care.
We cannot pour from an empty cup, we need to take care of ourselves so that we can care for
others in our lives. We all need to move to keep healthy and flexible, and yoga, once practiced
in a safe way is such a great way to literally get out of our overworked too busy minds and pay
attention to what's actually happening in the body..At the same time, I’m focussing on matching
movements to my breath, and in my experience, this has always had the knock on effect of
feeling a great sense of calm and ease sometimes even for a day or two after my practice.
Meditation is taking care of my mind and calming my emotions

Absolutely, remember we can even do our yoga practice in a chair. Just get in contact with me
so that we can come up with a plan and talk about what poses etc need modifications,
remember that every body is different, and even from day to day your body itself will feel
different, so we find the practice that best suits us!

Absolutely not! Flexibility is a by-product of yoga. Oh, and did I say that it is great for your joints
too? A lot of yoga poses are weight-bearing, which means we actually get to strengthen the
very bones of our body. As we age, bone health becomes an issue. Also, ALL YOGA POSES
CAN BE MODIFIED TO SUIT YOUR OWN BODY. This is an absolute passion of mine, trying to
find new ways to do poses so that we are all getting the essence of a pose, even if we are all
making different shapes. We listen to our own bodies wisdom so everyone is at different stages
of any yoga practice.

Firstly, contact the teacher if you have any ailments or injuries that need to be minded on the
mat. Try not to eat an hour, or even better two hours before your class. Leave your ego at the
door! Do not worry about what anyone else is doing in the room, everyone has different abilities
which are as different as our bodies. If you're comparing yourself to the “old” very flexible lady
beside you, remember she might have been practicing yoga for the last 50 years!

Contact me and we can decide on which class suits, some classes are more gentle than others,
however in all classes, modifications are given so we change the yoga pose to suit your body
not the other way round. I give alternatives throughout all classes and the idea is that you listen
to your own body’s innate wisdom, once we start to tune into our own bodies it's hard to go
wrong. I’m always happy to connect and see what works for my students so text me, email or
call me!

      Absolutely not!
